Aquatic Therapy provides special accommodations that land-based therapies fail to achieve for specific situations.
Aquatic Therapy is physical therapy conducted in the water. We use the properties of water, traditional physical therapy and specific aquatic techniques to provide a comprehensive approach to those seeking to increase strength, decrease pain and improve function. This environment offers clients additional versatility to their rehabilitation program.
Therapy is held in a 4-9 foot deep pool and is heated between 84-90 degrees. Benefits of Aquatic Therapy include a reduced weight bearing and stress on joints, muscular relaxation, increased circulation and reduced swelling.
