Swedish
Massage/Relaxation: A full-body massage
designed to stimulate circulation and provide a relaxing
and stress-relieving experience. Most commonly
taught type of massage.
|
|
 |
Deep Tissue: The
application of slow strokes and deep-finger pressure or
friction on localized tight areas to allow the muscles and connective tissue to
release chronic aches and pains. Useful in
treating inflammation, injury and chronic pain. |
 |
Neuromuscular Therapy: Applied to
specific muscles, often to increase blood flow, release
knots of muscle tension, or release pain or pressure on
nerves. This is also known as trigger point
therapy in that concentrated pressure is applied to
"trigger points" to alleviate pain. |
 |
Myofascial release: Fascia
is the fibrous bands of connective tissue that encases
muscles throughout the body. Scarring or injury to
the fascia can cause pain and impede motion. Myofascial release uses gentle stretching in the
direction of the muscle fibers and kneading of the
tissues to gradually soften, lengthen and realign the
fascia.
|
 |
Sports Massage: Massage for
athletes with techniques aimed at either preparing the
muscles and joints for the activity or assisting in
recovery from the stress and strain associated with the
activity. Helps improve flexibility, range of
motion, performance and aids in mental clarity. |
 |
Prenatal Massage: Uses
gentle techniques to help alleviate some of the ailments
associated with pregnancy including lower back, neck and
shoulder pain, fatigue, joint tenderness, and stretch
marks. Prenatal or pregnancy massage can help
improve circulation, promote stress-reduction and
relaxation.
|
 |
Hot Stone: Uses warm stones in
harmony with massage techniques to relax the body.
Where the warm stones are placed on specific points they
dissolve stress, remove toxins, and increase blood flow,
causing sore tired muscles to relax. This allows the body to
function optimally. Hot stones are used to relax
the entire body or target certain key areas. This
is an additional charge and covers a specific area. |
 |
Focused Hot Stone: is a massage
with full utilization of hot stones that targets and
treats major areas of the body. |
 |
Chair Massage: Client remains
fully clothed, usually limited to treating the back,
neck, and arms and generally last from 5-30 minutes.
Used for clients with limited time, apprehensive about
undressing or medically necessary. This is also
the easiest to deliver at any location including health
fairs, business setting, athletic events, fundraisers or
special events.

Essential
Oils: Can be added to
any massage at the request of the client. Oils are
absorbed through the skin and use your body chemistry to
provide mental and/or emotional healing effects.
Can help colds, allergies, migraines, fatigue, memory
and with many other areas of concern. Your
therapist can discuss your desired outcome and recommend
the correct oils to use during your massage. |
